Microsoft Flight Simulator is an adored classic that is renowned for its forgiveness and ease of use.

Born of the Golden Age of Flight:
Three Brazilian aviation pioneers established the aircraft business Empresa Aeronáutica Ypiranga (EAY) in 1931, during the height of the Golden Age of Flight. Building airplanes that would eventually be adopted by the increasing number of individuals who were enthralled with the idea of flying was their shared dream.

The EAY-101, a German single-seat, high-wing sailplane that was an approximation of the DFS Zögling, was their first product. EAY then started working on their next project, a powered high-wing aircraft that could be utilized for general-purpose flying and training. The Taylor Cub, a device created and produced by the U.S.-based Taylor Aircraft Company, was modelled by engineers. The two-seater tandem aircraft, the EAY-201, was propelled by a 40-horsepower radial engine manufactured in France, the Salmson 9AD. It worked just as planned: it was straightforward to land, forgiving in the air, and effortless to take off.
The CAP-4 Paulistinha:
Before being acquired by Companhia Aeronáutica Paulista (CAP), EAY produced just five EAY-201 types. The CAP-4 Paulistinha was developed by CAP by adding a more potent engine to the EAY-201 design. The CAP-4 gained additional power while maintaining the important characteristics of the original EAY-201, which increased speed and climb rate.

The CAP-4’s fuselage is made of a cloth-covered steel tube structure. It has a fixed traditional undercarriage, a typical empennage, and a main wing that is reinforced by struts. It is 6 feet, 5 inches tall, 21 feet, 10 inches long, and 33 feet, 2 inches wide at the wingspan. A fixed-pitch, two-blade, wood propeller is turned by a Franklin 4AC 4-cylinder, air-cooled, flat-four piston engine that generates up to 65 horsepower. The aircraft can climb at a speed of 610 feet per minute, has a service ceiling of 13,000 feet above sea level, and has a range of 310 miles. It has a top speed of 96 mph and travels at 87 mph.

Both military and commercial users utilized the CAP-4 Paulistinha as a general-purpose light aircraft and for training. The CAP-4 was mainly flown in Brazil, although it was also exported to Portugal and Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, Brazil’s neighbors in South America.
Ready for Microsoft Flight Simulator Pilots:
The CAP-4 Paulistinha has been exquisitely recreated by Microsoft Flight Simulator and its partner, iniBuilds, for pilots to fly across the MSFS universe. It is incredibly adaptable and can operate from both impromptu air strips located deep in the backwoods and the biggest airports in the world.

The Microsoft Flight Simulator CAP-4 Paulistinha comes with six liveries: N505, PP-HCP, PP-HIY, PP-HLJ, PP-TJR, and PT-ZGA. It is one of the four aircraft the team promised to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 consumers as a “make good” for their patience with the issues encountered during the launch. The plane is available for free today to all owners of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

The CAP-4 Paulistinha is currently available for $14.99 in the in-sim marketplace for anyone who wants to fly it in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
