Explorers! In the new Bags & Blasts free content update for Core Keeper, prepare for a massive battle against the creepiest and creepiest bosses of all time: Nimzura, Queen of the Burrowed Sands. Core Keeper is a sandbox adventure game that you can play alone or with friends in 2–8 player online cooperative mode if you have not already discovered this underground epic. The best part is that it is currently accessible on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and with PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate!
Nimruza – Queen of the Burrowed Sands

Cicadas dominated the Underground before the Caveling civilizations rose to power. They were referred to as “keepers of time” since their life cycles complied with the natural order. But as the Cavelings grew, territorial disputes turned into protracted warfare. The abandoned Caveling settlements and cicada husks scattered throughout the subterranean are the remains of a conflict that almost destroyed both sides.
Nimruza, a once-tall cicada queen whose brood stretched into the depths of the desert, is at the center of this struggle. That is, until a parasite entered her, descended into her body, and began eating her from the inside out. In the most recent Core Keeper update, she is a powerful foe who is now motivated by a sinister, evil force. The Cicada-Caveling War narrative is advanced, and the experience is expanded in Core Keeper through Nimruza’s story.
However, Nimruza is more than just a boss battle. Her arrival signifies a significant shift inthe Core Keeper’s universe and the game’s plot. The concept of a gigantic cicada queen, a logical progression of the cicada husks you have encountered on your travels, served as the inspiration for her development.
Designing Nimruza

The Pugstorm development team gave careful thought to how they could differentiate Nimruza from the other Core Keeper bosses. Her assault patterns reflect the choice to depict her as a corrupted force that has transformed into something strange and dangerous. Expect a difficult combat with planned, nearly mechanical assaults meant to show how Nimruza lost his natural impulses and became a malevolent machine.
Exploring the Oasis

You can explore the Oasis, a brand-new sub-biome in the Desert of Beginnings, and fight your way to Nimruza in the Bags & Blasts free update in an effort to defeat this malevolent new power. In one of Core Keeper’s most difficult boss battles to date, defeat this enormous insect by dodging hordes of cicadas, dodging Nimruza’s crushing blows, and avoiding the destructive effects of dark energy.
Look out for the Drohmble, a cute new camel-like animal that roams the fertile plains of the Oasis while you are there. A lucrative (although foul-smelling) resource that may be used to make new weapons can be found by ranching these.
Explosive New Skills & Weapons

Hold on, new weapons? You heard correctly! The main goal of the Bags & Blasts update is to give Core Keeper even more bang by introducing a brand-new Explosives ability tree that offers an incredibly potent new gameplay option. Use grenades to repel opponents from a distance, learn how to use new bomb types, such as the vacuum Void Bomb and multi-blast Blunder Bomb, to breach cavern walls, and develop entirely new tactics to eliminate Core Keeper’s greatest threats.
Play it on Game Pass

The fact that more than 4 million gamers have already embarked on their Core Keeper journey is astounding. We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has played the game thus far, regardless of whether they are lone explorers or have been exploring the caverns together online. We have been blown away by the response the game has gotten.
Remember this if you have not begun your journey yet or are eager to return to battle Nimruza in this enormous new boss battle: Core Keeper is currently accessible on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and with PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. I will see you underground!
